What Is BlockRand?

BlockRand is a randomness infrastructure that gives developers cryptographically verifiable random outcomes without trusting servers, hiding logic, or forcing players to wait.

Every result is derived from a public drand beacon and a transparent commit–reveal protocol, producing a single final seed from which all game outcomes are deterministically generated. See it in action LIVE here.

The Mental Model

1. Commit (Hidden by SDK)

The SDK automatically commits player intent and a server secret. Neither the developer nor the player needs to manage timing, delays, or cryptography.

2. Public Entropy (drand)

A future drand round — unknown to all parties at commit time — acts as neutral, publicly verifiable entropy.

3. Reveal Once, Derive Everything

When revealed, a single 256-bit seed is produced. All outcomes (dice, cards, shuffles, picks) are derived deterministically from this seed.

➜ The reveal returns all standard results at once, plus full proofs, formulas, counters, timings and verification URLs. Nothing is hidden.
